Trent Bridge will celebrate Bonfire Night across two evenings this winter, hosting two fireworks and street food extravaganzas on Friday 1 and Saturday 2 November, after a sell-out first event last year. Notts Street Food will return to the venue for the third time in 2024 with an abundance of local street food traders serving delicacies across both nights.
Both evenings will be centred around an epic fireworks display, taking place at 8.30pm on the Friday and the slightly earlier time of 7.30pm on the Saturday. Spectators will be treated to the display from the venue’s family stand, the PKF Smith Cooper Stand, which has both disabled and pushchair access.
Opening at 6.30pm on Friday and 5.30pm on Saturday, the venue concourse will be abuzz with a host of street food traders, many of whom have recently pitched up at Trent Bridge for this year’s Bank Holiday street food festivals.
As an added bonus, a host of free, family entertainment will be on offer for youngsters to enjoy, whilst a DJ will be performing from the Sound Bar.
“We want to deliver an organised fireworks event at scale that our city can be truly proud of and Trent Bridge provides the perfect backdrop for that,” remarked Michael Temple, Commercial Director at Trent Bridge.
“Last year’s event was a complete sell-out and we enjoyed seeing so many families using our spaces, eating great street food and taking in the entertainment before settling in our stands to watch the fireworks.
“As a family-oriented occasion, it made sense to expand our offering this year and host the event across two nights, with the earlier start time on Saturday catering for families with young children.
“This event is here to stay and we look forward to welcoming people back year after year.”
It’s In Nottingham will again be the presenting partners of the event, whilst Greene King IPA have come on board as event partners for the first time.
Alex Flint, CEO of It's In Nottingham, said "We're delighted to be the presenting partner of the fireworks nights for the second year in a row. Last year was a hit and it gives us great pleasure being part of an event that embodies the spirit of our great city.”
