A frightening display with the ball from Farhan Ahmed nearly helped Nottinghamshire’s Second XI on the way to victory against Zimbabwe A, but the Green and Golds were 51 runs short when time was called in their friendly at Lady Bay.
Ahmed took a stunning 7/60 in a mammoth effort with the ball - bowling just shy of 25 overs - to help dismiss the tourists for 300 in their second innings.
Singh (2/93) and Moore (1/15) chipped in with the other wickets, as Notts were set a target of 256 to win with less than half of the final day remaining.
Ben Martindale (32), Sammy King (33) and Fateh Singh (29) all struck at over 100 to get the chase underway, and while Travis Holland top-scored with 58, the Green and Golds’ commendable efforts fell just short of an impressive victory over their international counterparts as the two sides shook hands on an entertaining draw.
