Byron Hatton-Lowe and Daniel Blatherwick took three wickets apiece as Nottinghamshire secured the upper hand on day two of their Second XI Friendly against the South Asian Cricket Academy at Lady Bay.

Right-armer Hatton-Lowe removed the Academy’s top three, luring Zen Malik into edging behind before pinning Savin Perera and inducing D Ahmed into playing on.

There were two scalps for James Hayes and one for Saif Ali, while Blatherwick ended the day with figures of 3/25.

Earlier, Liam Patterson-White and Dane Schadendorf completed a 155-run stand before the former was bowled for 78.

Schadendorf made 91 before being dismissed, with Sammy King hitting an unbeaten 59 and Matthew Carter 41* as the hosts declared their innings closed on 343/4.
