Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club are on the lookout for enthusiastic and passionate volunteers to help grow and develop the recreational game in Nottinghamshire.

The new opportunities have arisen as a result of the merger between Nottinghamshire CCC and the Nottinghamshire Cricket Board, with the club assuming full responsibility for the domestic and professional game across the county.

The roles include twelve positions on strategic sub-groups relating to the recreational game, leadership positions in the women & girls’ game and on the countywide disciplinary panel, a secretarial role with the Nottinghamshire Youth Cricket League, and positions as umpire observers.

“Now that the board and club have officially merged, I’m very excited about how the recreational game can grow in the years to come,” said Community and Development Manager Mandy Wright.

“This will give the grassroots more of a voice, make it easier to access the expertise of the professionals, and help us to deliver our ambitious objectives over the next five years.

“Even after as strange a year as 2020, we feel there is real momentum in cricket, and want to do all that we can to inspire a love of the game in new generations and communities whilst also helping the existing club structure to thrive.”
