Josh Tongue and Amy Jones lead a combined contingent of 28 players from Nottinghamshire and The Blaze who will go under the hammer at The Hundred Auction next week.

A total of 425 players, of which 17 are from The Blaze and 11 from Notts, have been Longlisted from the initial registrations.

After 964 players registered for the Auction, teams then selected between 75 and 100 players for both the men’s and women’s competitions whom they were most interested in.

From those selections came the Longlist - made up of 247 players for the men’s competition and 178 for the women’s - which will provide the final selection of players up for grabs.

The top 50 players for both competitions on the Longlist have been designated as Hero Players based on the number of registrations of interest and their career statistics to date.

These 50 will be sold in the first phase of the Auction, and have been broken down into sets according to their primary skill, before the remainder of the Longlist completes each Auction.

Jones, who represented Birmingham Phoenix in 2025 and has a reserve price of £50,000, will be auctioned in the top set of Hero Players, considered a Marquee Domestic Player.

Tongue, who was the leading wicket-taker in the 2025 competition for Manchester Originals, has a reserve of £75,000 and will be auctioned as part of the fourth set of men’s Hero Players.

Joe Clarke and Olly Stone, who both have reserve prices of £50,000, are the other Notts names among the men’s Hero Players, with a further eight representatives in the wider Longlist.

Five further faces from The Blaze join Jones in the women’s Hero Players, with Tammy Beaumont, who has a reserve of £37,500, also in the top five Marquee Domestic Players.

Grace Ballinger and Lucy Higham, who won the 2025 competition with Northern Superchargers, are also among the 50 Hero Players, as are Kirstie Gordon and Kathryn Bryce.

The Blaze’s 11 remaining representatives are all featured on the wider Longlist.
