Sam Seecharan again top-scored with the bat as Nottinghamshire 2nd XI coasted to a comfortable seven-wicket win over Kent at Polo Farm.

Seecharan, who had led the way with 73 in the first innings, posted a positive 41 from just 32 balls as the Green and Golds chased down a fourth-innings target of 106 in just 16.4 overs.

Liam Patterson-White, who had earlier claimed 4/52 to complete the job of bowling Kent, who had resumed on 150-7, out for 178, hit an unbeaten 28 from 23, including the winning runs.

James Hayes also added two more scalps to his day three haul to finish as the pick of the visiting bowlers with 4/45.

The Green and Golds did lose Ben Martindale inside the first three overs, but Seecharan’s efforts and an unbroken stand of 44 between Patterson-White and Dane Schadendorf ultimately helped them over the line with ease.
