The Blaze made it two from two after the resumption of the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy, beating Sunrisers by six wickets at the County Ground.
Not for the first time this summer, Kathryn Bryce produced a sensational all-round performance, taking 4-41 with the ball and scoring 87* with the bat, to guide her side to the total of 246 with more than six overs to spare.
Under sunny Derbyshire skies, Sunrisers’ skipper, Grace Scrivens, made the most of winning the toss and deciding to bat first, adding 38 inside 9.2 overs with Jo Gardner.
However, both openers were back in the dressing room just two overs later, Scrivens caught and bowled by Kathryn Bryce and Gardner castled by Kirstie Gordon.
After a brief period of consolidation, Cordelia Griffith and Jodi Grewcock took the attack to the hosts, reaching the halfway stage on 132/2.
Griffith reached her half-century just after the halfway break but Grewcock fell for 36, trapped in front by Josie Groves, after the pair had added 89 for the third wicket.
Leg-spinner Groves then added the scalp of fellow slow bowler Mady Villiers for 6, before Lissy Macleod was ran out by Cassidy McCarthy for 3.
After losing three partners in quick succession, Griffith was next to fall, LBW to Kirstie Gordon for 65 as the visitors were left teetering on 162/6.
Flo Miller (26) and Eva Gray (37) wrestled back momentum for Sunrisers, adding a 60-run seventh-wicket stand before falling to Grace Ballinger and Bryce respectively.
As the visitors continued to attack, Bryce used all her experience to limit the late innings damage, removing Amara Carr and Kate Coppack to finish with 4-41, the Sunrisers all out for 245.
The returning Tammy Beaumont and Sarah Bryce headed out in pursuit and soon had their fifty-run opening stand, reaching the milestone with the first ball of the 11th over.
They extended their first-wicket partnership to 72 before Villiers trapped Bryce in front for a 45-ball 41.
That did little to stem The Blaze’s momentum, Beaumont bringing up a half-century in 59 deliveries as, alongside Kathryn Bryce, the second-wicket half-century stand came at quicker than a run-a-ball.
Beaumont departed for a well-made 59 and Kelly followed for 4, both LBW to Gray, but Bryce calmed any nerves on her way to a seventh half-century of 2024 for The Blaze.
She celebrated with a 12-run over off Sunrisers’ fast bowler Coppack, bringing the equation to less than four runs an over required.
The hosts weathered the loss of Orla Prendergast to cruise over the line with time to spare, Ella Claridge adding five boundaries in an enterprising cameo of 33 from 27 before Bryce saw her side over the line.
