SLATER NAMED JOHN PYE PLAYER OF THE MONTH

Ben Slater has been named the John Pye Auctions Player of the Month for July and August.

The Notts opener enjoyed another prolific 50-over campaign, hitting 398 runs at an average of 56.85, and making centuries in the Outlaws’ victories over Surrey at Guildford and Sussex at the John Fretwell Centre.

The campaign saw the 33-year-old maintain his remarkable career average in the List A format of 52.75.

Slater also made a half-century on his return to red-ball actionas Notts faced Durham at Chester-le-Street.

He was presented with his award by Jordan Dodsworth of John Pye Auctions.
