Notts Outlaws travel to Norfolk on Sunday, 30 July, in the annual National Counties Cricket Association fixture as preparations for the Metro Bank One Day Cup competition step up a gear.
Peter Moores names a 15-man squad, led by recently announced One Day Cup captain Haseeb Hameed, to travel down to East Anglia for the fixture.
The Outlaws' quest for success begins on Thursday 3 August when they travel to Chelmsford to face Essex Eagles.
The 50-over game in Norfolk will take place at Manor Park, Horsford Cricket Club with an 11am start.
Ahead of the game, Nottinghamshire’s Director of Cricket Mick Newall has fond memories of the fixture and extended his gratitude to the opposition for the hard work which goes into preparing for the game.
“It’s going to be a significant day on the calendar for our hosts and we are appreciative of the amount of work that goes into readying a venue for such an event," he said, "we’ll be looking to play our part in a memorable occasion and an entertaining game of cricket.”
After last year’s fixture was scuppered by persistent Sunday showers after only 15 overs, Notts will be hoping that preparations for the Metro Bank 50-over competition will be unaffected by the weather this weekend.
“For those of us who have been involved in the game for a long time, matches against National County opposition bring back lots of memories – and it’s something we’re looking forward to rekindling," Newall added.
“Those matches were fraught with danger for the First-Class sides, knowing that our opposition had nothing to lose and were desperate to claim a scalp. Norfolk are sure to be in much the same frame of mind for this game, which will make it a good test for us ahead of the start of the Metro Bank competition.”
Tickets are available to purchase on the day at the ground priced at £10 seniors, £8 concessions with all under-18 tickets free.
Car parking is available at the venue and is included with your ticket.
