Trent Bridge will host the Notts Street Food Festival over the Bank Holiday weekend, as a host of celebrated independent traders pay the home of Nottinghamshire CCC a visit on Sunday 27 August.

The festival's footprint will be twice as large as that of the Street Food Tour event at Trent Bridge in April, with the event expanding into the Trent Bridge Inn Courtyard to feature additional craft bars and entertainment. 

The number of independent food traders has more than doubled, too, with fifteen of the city and county’s finest stallholders pitching up at the historic venue.

Tickets for the Bank Holiday weekend event are on sale now – with two entry times available, each offering tailored experiences. All adult tickets for the event are priced at £5, with under 16s tickets costing £2.50.

Food traders are set to include Asian and Middle-Eastern inspired stalls, with fried chicken, Caribbean, South American and Mexican cuisine also represented. See a full list of traders here…

The culinary experience will be complemented by independent craft stalls (between 12pm and 4.30pm), with the day soundtracked by live music and DJ sets.

“We were blown away by the response when we brought the Street Food Tour to the ground, so we simply couldn’t wait to get another date in the diary and to launch our Street Food festival here,” said Aaron Wilson of Notts Street Food.

“There’s nowhere quite like Trent Bridge in the height of summer, and we know our traders will really enjoy that opportunity to showcase their food and products at such an historic venue once more.

“We’ve taken feedback from the Street Food Tour we brought to Trent Bridge earlier this year into account too, with a larger festival site and more food traders than before, so I can’t wait to see it all taking shape.”

Over 3,000 patrons visited Trent Bridge for the Street Food Tour event in West Bridgford in April, with stop-offs also taking place at Kelham Hall, the Vat & Fiddle and in Nottingham City Centre.

With the foundations from those events now firmly in place, the Street Food Festival will operate on a grander scale during the August bank holiday weekend.

Trent Bridge will also welcome the return of the Robin Hood Beer and Cider Festival later this year, with the event returning for a third year in succession between Wednesday 11 and Saturday 14 October.

Early Bird tickets are on sale for the beer festival until Friday 28th July, with any purchasers during the early-bird window also able to claim complimentary entry to the Family Fun Day on Saturday 5 August, when Notts will entertain Yorkshire in the Metro Bank One Day Cup.
