Trent Bridge returns as a host venue for Trent Rockets in The Hundred for 2023, with four home double-header fixtures across the height of summer, including the opening match of the tournament against Southern Brave on 1 August.

With the men seeking to retain the title won in 2022, and women looking to better their Eliminator finish, each team will play eight matches in total during the group stages of the competition.

Northern Superchargers will visit Nottingham on 9 August for Trent Rockets’ second home game of the campaign, with Trent Bridge hosting Manchester Originals on 17 August, and local rivals Birmingham Phoenix two days later.

Trent Rockets will conclude the group stages away to Oval Invincibles on 21 August, having played at Edgbaston (5 August), Lord’s (12 August) and Sophia Gardens (14 August) against Birmingham Phoenix, London Spirit and Welsh Fire respectively.

“The support we got at home went a long way to helping us finish top of the table and win the competition last year," said Trent Rockets’ 2022 men’s captain Lewis Gregory.

"Trent Bridge is an amazing place to play cricket, especially during The Hundred with the music and hundreds of kids cheering for you in the crowd."

The Hundred Eliminator, in which second and third placed teams will face each other for the right to play top of the group, is set for 26 August, whilst the final itself will take place a day later, with venues for both fixtures to be confirmed.

Nat Sciver almost guided Trent Rockets’ women to victory in last year’s Eliminator at the Ageas Bowl.

The all-rounder struck a 36-ball 72, including three consecutive sixes with 22 required from the final four balls.

“The first two years of The Hundred have been amazing," the England international said.

"The crowd at Trent Bridge is like having an extra player and it’s great to get to meet some of the fans after the games and hopefully inspire the next generation to have a go at cricket.

"We were desperate to reach the final last year but just fell short, so there will be that added bit of determination in 2023 to go all the way.”

As with the first two editions of the tournament, Trent Bridge will play host to a diverse range of musical performances during each gameday thanks to The Hundred’s partnership with BBC Music Introducing, which saw Seagirls, Deco, and Queen Millz take to the stage in Nottingham in 2022, as well as the venue's resident DJ Charlie Burley.
