Liam Patterson-White's career-best unbeaten 73, and late wickets from Zak Chappell and Stuart Broad were the highlights of a fascinating first day of action between Nottinghamshire and Warwickshire in the LV= Insurance County Championship.
Academy graduate Patterson-White helped the Green and Golds post 273 in the first innings, having been 119-6 at one stage.
Chappell and Broad then removed Rob Yates and Hanuma Vihari respectively, both without scoring, as the visitors ended the day on 24-2.
