Batsman Alex Hales has been named Nottinghamshire’s Player of the Month for July.
The right-hander received his award during lunch of day three’s Specsavers County Championship match against Northants from a representative of award sponsors John Pye Auctions.
Hales was chosen after a stellar month that saw him score centuries in all three formats of cricket.
He started by hammering a Lord’s one-day record 187 not out in the final of the Royal London One-Day Cup Final, which helped the team to victory over Surrey.
He then hit 101 in the NatWest T20 Blast match against Yorkshire Vikings at Trent Bridge as the Outlaws completed a record run chase.
A terrific month was rounded off with a double century, 218 from as many balls, in the Specsavers County Championship victory over Derbyshire.
Meanwhile, seamer Stuart Broad has been made available to the Notts Outlaws for Saturday’s NatWest T20 Blast Finals Day at Edgbaston.
He has been joined by Mason Crane, of Hampshire, and Chris Woakes, of Birmingham Bears, in being released to play by the ECB despite their involvement in the ongoing Test series with the West Indies.
