Sarfraz Ahmed scored his maiden One Day International century to see Pakistan safely through to the Quarter Finals of the ICC Cricket World Cup at the expense of Ireland.
The 27-year-old carried his bat for a score of 101 as Misbah-ul-Haq's men chased their victory target with 3.5 overs and seven wickets to spare.
William Porterfield had earlier scored his maiden World Cup hundred in Ireland's 50 over total of 237 all out.
Ireland won the toss and elected to bat at the Adelaide Oval and - aside from Porterfield's 107 off 131 balls, which included 11 fours and a six - only Gary Wilson passed 20.
The Surrey wicketkeeper scored 29 and shared a fifth wicket stand of 48 with his Captain. But that proved to be Ireland's most productive partnership in a below-par total of 237 all out, with Wahab Riaz taking 3-54.
Sarfraz and his opening partner Ahmed Shehzad got the Pakistan innings un and running with an opening stand of 120 in 22.4 overs.
And although Shehzad top-edged to mid-on off Stuart Thompson for 63 off 71 balls, quickly followed by the run out of Haris Sohail for three, Misbah was on hand to steady the ship for the Test nation.
The Captain's 39 off 46 balls, in a third wicket stand of 82 with Sarfraz, took his side to within 30 of victory.
And although the opener was somewhat delayed in the nervous 90's, he eventually worked George Dockerill through midwicket to level the scores and reach the personal milestone in 120 balls, with six fours.
Umar Akmal, who finished 20 not out, clubbed the winning boundary off Paul Stirling's first ball of the next over, meaning Pakistan will return to Adelaide to face Australia in the Quarter Finals in ten days time.
