“We’re very lucky to have such a great fanbase and we bring in big crowds,” said Moores.
"Hopefully, we’ll have a nice summer which means we’ll see more of that great support.
“We’re so lucky that we get to play on Friday nights and on weekends, and the support that we get at Trent Bridge means everyone always says it’s one of their favourite grounds to play at.
“We’ll be looking to put on some great cricket that entertains the crowds and sees us get some wins too.”
Moores, the Outlaws' reigning Blast player of the season and a Blast-winner in 2017 and 2020, has been at the heart of Notts' finest T20 teams.
And he feels the current crop are beginning to gel.
“We showed last year that our team is growing nicely,” said Moores. “We’ve had a rebuild phase and I think it’s exciting times now.
“We’ve got lads with great experience, and others that have gained that over the last couple of years.
“The first goal is to qualify, and then we’ll be going from there. You want to play in Finals Day, but our main aim will be to get in that qualifying spot and keep building from there.
“T20 is a game of momentum, so hopefully if we start well, it should be exciting."
Moores, 29, is the longest-serving member of Notts’ shortest-format squad and will enter his tenth season with the Outlaws this year, having made his debut in July 2017.
He has since blossomed into an integral member of the side, leading the way with the bat in 2025 with 459 runs at a strike rate north of 157.
“I’m definitely more of a senior figure in the team now, and I’ve played a fair bit of T20 cricket, so I try to bring that experience,” he said.
“It’s similar to last year, where I’m trying to help some of the newer guys out where I can, and from a personal standpoint, I want to back up what I did last season.
“It was a good year for me, so I want to try and be a supporter for Joe (Clarke, captain) while also leading where I can, and I want to be there to support the lads to get wins and, ultimately qualifying.”
Moores will begin 2026 needing another 44 runs to become only the fourth man to reach 2,500 runs for Notts in the format, joining Alex Hales, Samit Patel and Riki Wessels.
After stints in the ILT20 and SA20 this winter, he feels his game still has room to grow.
“I’ve had a busy franchise winter, which has led to loads of learnings that I can take into my own game. It’s invaluable experience,” explained Moores.
“That’s great for me personally, but the opportunity to experience how good teams are run, and to surround myself with the best in the world, is huge.
“I’ve learned from the way they lead, so I’m trying to bring all those new skills together, and if that can benefit Notts in any way, then great.”
