The Blaze’s Bank Holiday weekend clash in the Metro Bank One Day Cup will once again be accompanied by a host of culinary delights, as the Notts Street Food Festival returns to Trent Bridge for the first time in 2025.
Seventeen of Notts Street Food's finest independent food traders will grace the concourses and courtyards of the venue on Sunday 4 May, while The Blaze compete in the second of their seven home fixtures in West Bridgford this summer.
Last year’s Bank Holiday event attracted an attendance of 4,710 – a record crowd for a standalone women’s domestic fixture – as the food festival provided the backdrop for The Blaze’s Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy contest with Thunder.
Tickets for the Bank Holiday event are now on sale, spread across two sessions priced at £6 for adults and £3 for concessions. Secure your tickets here...
Both sessions will include access to the cricket which starts at 10:30am, before the Street Food Festival will open at 12pm.
2025 Nottinghamshire members can secure entry to the game free of charge, but will be required to claim a ticket in advance. Members will be contacted with more details on how to claim their tickets.
Please note that, whilst both sessions will allow access to view the cricket, there is a likelihood that the game could be nearing a close as the second food festival session commences.
Session timings are as follows:
- Afternoon Session: 12-4:30pm (including access to The Blaze match and DJ & steel band performances). Book here...
- Evening Session: 4:30-9pm (including access to The Blaze match and DJ & steel band performances). Book here...
A mix of new and returning vendors will be gracing the Trent Bridge concourses to cater for all tastes, with full details of all the traders who will be attending to be released on Friday 14 March.
Live musical entertainment will also be on offer throughout the day, with funk and soul DJs and a steel band soundtracking festivities in the concourse areas.
“We’ve been thrilled with the response to our street food events at Trent Bridge over the last few years – and last May’s Bank Holiday festival, with thousands of people joining us in the sunshine, was a firm favourite of ours,” said Aaron Wilson of Notts Street Food.
“The ground provides the perfect stage for our city’s best food traders to showcase their dishes, and they jumped at the chance to come back to Trent Bridge this spring. We’re also really excited to be introducing some new traders to the venue for the first time, who we think will be a great fit.
“The cricket really complimented the food festival last year too – there was a really nice, chilled atmosphere around the ground, and it was great to see some foodies taking in the sport for the first time, and cricket-lovers coming over to sample the food.”
Last year, Notts Street Food also graced Trent Bridge for an August Bank Holiday extravaganza, before returning for two sold-out Fireworks Nights events in November.
The festival’s first visits to West Bridgford came in 2023, with a trio of popular events staged at the home of Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club.
