Sam Seecharan and Rob Lord made contributions with the bat to add to three wickets apiece for Saif Ali and Liam Patterson-White on Day Two of Nottinghamshire Second XI’s friendly against Loughborough UCCE.
Resuming on 142-1, Loughborough’s Vaansh Jani went on to make 138, while Tom Hinley added an unbeaten 65 to help the hosts to 336-9 declared.
That was in spite of Ali and Patterson-White combining to take the last six wickets of the innings for 96 runs, with the latter cleaning up the tail by claiming two in two balls.
The efforts of opening pair Sammy King and Seecharan helped wipe out the first innings deficit, with the latter’s 56 proving to be the highest score of the Green and Golds’ second dig.
As it was, King also contributed heavily, with his 36 bettered only by Seecharan and Lord’s 43, as the trio hauled Notts to a total of 205 all out before the end of the day.
