Nottinghamshire moved towards equalling Durham's first-innings score on day two at Trent Bridge as Ben Slater and Freddie McCann recorded their first half-centuries of the season.
The hosts closed the day on 297-5 in their first innings in reply to Durham’s 378, with Fergus O'Neill completing his five-wicket haul early on.
Slater then struck 92, with McCann adding 79, to see the hosts to just short of a second batting bonus point, and in hope of parity tomorrow.
