Toby Lambert hit an unbeaten half-century - and took a stunning catch behind the stumps - as Notts' under 18s secured a three-wicket win over Worcestershire.

Lambert's athletic one-handed catch - diving away to his right - helped to see off Worcestershire number three Luke Hursthouse.

That took the score to 151/3, after Dalton Hatton-Lowe and Akand Gangotra had earlier accounted for the Pears' openers.

Hatton-Lowe, Gangotra and Jacob Hughes took two wickets each as Notts began to restrict their opponents' run rate, with Worcestershire ultimately posting 283/9 from their 50 overs.

In reply, Josh Beer and Max Kennedy's 92-run stand for the second wicket provided an ideal platform for the run chase, Beer making 36 and Kennedy amassing 51 at almost a run a ball.

Captain Byron Hatton-Lowe's brisk 47 (36) was also crucial, as was 45 from 34 from Hughes, but it was Lambert's run-a-ball 56 which carried the visitors to victory.

The wicketkeeper-batter sealed the success with his tenth boundary of the innings, Notts reaching their target with more than five overs to spare.
