Nottinghamshire took three wickets on the final day of the 2024 season as their contest with Warwickshire ended in a draw.

Notts took 14 points from the contet to the visitors’ 13, as Farhan Ahmed, Rob Lord and Lyndon James all secured scalps.

Ahmed, switching to bowling over the wicket for the first time in the day, lured Barnard into top-edging a sweep to the deep, a well-judged catch by substitiute Sammy King.

Michael Burgess was next to fall, his entertaining knock ending when he swiped Lyndon James to mid-on.

A second substitute, James Hayes, then took a gentle catch at cover off Rob Lord as a loose cut undid Danny Briggs without score.

Tea was taken at 361/7, with bad light ending play shortly after the resumption.
