Nottinghamshire CCC is seeking four individuals to join its General Committee from March 2025.

The General Committee leads and oversees the club’s strategic planning, provides stewardship of its assets on behalf of the membership, and monitors its financial position and performance against an annually approved budget and financial forecast.

Roles, which are voluntary and non-executive, involve attending monthly General Committee meetings and sub-committees.

We will be making three appointments through the elected route (open to eligible adult Nottinghamshire members) and one appointment via our Nominations Panel (for which candidates need not be Nottinghamshire members at present, but must join the club if successful).

You can hear from members of our existing and past Committee about the requirements of the role here.

Applying for an elected position

An official proposal form must be completed by any member wishing to apply for an elected position on the General Committee and a copy is available here...

It should be returned to the Chief Executive by 5pm on 1 November 2024.

Copies can also be obtained from the club by email to questions@trentbridge.co.uk or by telephone on 0115 899 0300 (9.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday).

All candidates for election will be interviewed by the Nominations Panel on Sunday 24 November 2024.

If you wish to stand for election you must be a current member of the club, have been a member for at least two consecutive years, and have been entitled to vote for a period of not less than two calendar years as of 31 October 2024.

Applying to be considered for nomination

The role of the Nominations Panel is also to search for suitable candidates outside of the club’s current membership. Therefore anyone applying via the nomination route does not need to be a current member, but they will need to join the club if they are successful.

Anyone who wishes to be considered for nomination should send a CV and a covering letter by 5pm on 1 November 2024 to Linda Allen, Head of Business Support (linda.allen@trentbridge.co.uk). You can also send your documents by post to Linda at Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club, Trent Bridge, Nottingham, NG2 6AG.

The role profile, which includes further details of what is required from those holding a General Committee position, is available here...

Interviews for the nominated route will be held on Friday 31 January 2025.

All candidates will be interviewed by the Club’s Nominations Panel, who will appoint to one position, with the other three positions decided by the members through an election. Members who meet the necessary criteria to stand for election may use both routes.

The recruitment process will culminate at the AGM in February 2025.
