Fateh Singh took four wickets on day three of Nottinghamshire’s Second XI Championship contest with Leicestershire, as the visitors lead by 144 runs with one wicket remaining at Lady Bay.

Freddie McCann and Dane Schadendorf’s third-wicket stand helped Notts post 529 in their first innings - the former tallying a colossal 243 and the latter 139 - before Louis Kimber made 141 to launch the Foxes’ fightback, eventually caught by James Hayes off the bowling of Toby Pettman.

Pettman and Farhan Ahmed both took two wickets apiece on day three, but it was Fateh Singh with the most influential contribution of the day as he took four - including Leicestershire skipper Lewis Hill - to restrict the efforts of the visitors' middle order.

Day four will commence at 11am at Lady Bay, the Green and Golds searching for one wicket before commencing their run chase.
