Nottinghamshire Under-18s' County Championship campaign ended with defeat in Leeds as Yorkshire were victorious by 113 runs on the third and final day.

Sam Seecharan took three scalps in each of Yorkshire's innings - Tom Giles 4/32 in the first - but the host bowlers were too much for Notts who were all out for 172 and 181 in reply to Yorkshire's totals of 240 and 226/6d.

Toby Lambert (44) and Dalton Hatton-Lowe (46) were the closest to half-tons for Notts, as their neighbours won by 113 runs.

The U18s will battle out on grass in 2024 for one final time on Sunday (1 September), when they face Sussex in the County Plate 50-over final at Kibworth CC.
