Trent Bridge is to welcome a host of celebrated local food, musicians and independent traders as Nottingham Street Food’s Summer Tour pays a visit to the historic venue on Sunday 30 April.
The Bank Holiday Weekend event will see global flavours and local produce take centre stage, with cuisines from Caribbean to Thai represented within the ground.
The culinary experience will be accompanied by an expertly-curated independent craft market, featuring stalls hand-picked by Sneinton-based Pitch Markets. Live music, meanwhile, will be provided by Hockley creative space Mimm Studios and Phlexx Records, a local record label and network of independent artists.
Food traders will include Jerk Kitchen, Colombo, Carolina’s Chilli (Vegan), Prad Thai, Dirty Chicken, Yelloyard, Banquet and Doughnotts.
All adult tickets for the event are priced at £5, while tickets for under 16s cost £2.50. Tickets can be purchased here…
“We’re really excited to announce our collaboration with Trent Bridge,” said Aaron Wilson of Notts Street Food.
“We see this partnership as a fantastic opportunity to bring our Street Food Tour to one of the East Midlands’ most iconic sporting venues, which has amazing facilities to host a wide variety of events.
“Keep your eyes peeled for further information.”
Formerly based inside the Victoria Centre, Nottingham Street Food has become renowned for shining a spotlight on independent talent from the city and county since its establishment in 2016.
The Summer Tour’s stop-off at Trent Bridge will follow a one-day residency at Kelham Hall as part of the Newark Food and Drink Festival.
“We take real pride in being able to add a distinctly Trent Bridge twist to some of our city’s most celebrated events,” said Nottinghamshire’s Commercial Director Michael Temple.
“Having hosted the Robin Hood Beer and Cider Festival for two years now, this new partnership feels like a natural step and a worthy addition to our calendar.
“We want to throw open the gates of Trent Bridge to everyone and demonstrate that, even for those who don’t think that cricket is for them, ours is a venue to enjoy.
“On a personal level, many of our staff have been customers of Nottingham Street Food Club for a long time and we’re delighted to be supporting their efforts to kick-start Nottingham’s greatest food roadshow."
