The opening days of the Test – England Women’s first to be played over five days on home turf – have seen records broken with regularity.
Tammy Beaumont’s 208 was the highest individual score ever made for England Women –with the opener becoming the fourth player from her country, male or female, to score tons in all three international formats.
Beaumont’s teammate Sophie Ecclestone claimed five first-innings wickets to help dismiss the visitors in their first innings, while Annabel Sutherland hit the fastest Test ton by an Australian woman when she reached three figures on day two.
The action has unfolded in front of a record crowd for a Women’s Test Match in the UK, with in excess of 20,000 spectators welcomed through the gates of Trent Bridge over the opening four days.
