Ben Slater's 70 helped Nottinghamshire to a first-innings lead on Day Two of the LV= Insurance County Championship clash at Taunton, before Somerset ended the day on 268/4, leading by 245.
Play resumed on a fresh morning in Taunton, after an action-packed first day that was dominated by the bowlers.
Nottinghamshire resumed on 145/4, after bowling Somerset out for 163 yesterday, with Ben Slater facing Bashir to begin play.
Overton and Henry looked to prosper early on and dismissed Mullaney for 29 and Slater for a solid 70 respectively.
Henry uprooted Hutton’s middle stump and bowled Carter four overs later, before adding fellow boundary-finder Tom Moores to move Notts’ score to 177/9.
Paterson and Ball added nine extra runs before the former fell off Overton’s delivery and the catch of Rew, meaning Nottinghamshire ended their first innings on 186 all out, leading by 23 runs.
The away side returned from the pavilion after a short break, with Brett Hutton bowling the opening over of the third innings.
Paterson took his third wicket of the match midway through the eleventh over, as he rapped the pad of Dickson to remove the opener for 26.
Superb fielding from Joe Clarke stopped Lammonby’s final attempt before lunch going for four, and his pinpoint throw slammed the stumps to run out Abell for a duck.
And with that, Somerset took lunch at 43/2.
Lammonby and the newly-introduced Bartlett formed a strong partnership after lunch, with the former reaching an 88-ball half-century and the latter doing the same in 110 balls.
Despite both making it through the afternoon session unscathed, Lammonby couldn’t adapt to a Matt Carter delivery following the break, finding the stumps to dismiss the opener for 73.
Bartlett continued to hold firm at the crease, as Kohler-Cadmore was the next to go.
He looked for the boundary off Ball, but Hameed tracked the shot and, with a brief excursion beyond the boundary, clutched the ball to remove the right-handed batter for 33.
Bartlett found a maximum to move him beyond a century with four overs of the day to go. He surpassed 100 off 203 balls.
James Rew ended the day alongside Bartlett, gathering 17 runs and putting Somerset on 268/4 at the close of play.
Somerset will return to bat on Day Three leading by 245 runs, with Bartlett set to resume on 109*.
