A quartet of starts put Nottinghamshire in a solid position on the first day of their three day friendly against the South Asian Cricket Association at Lady Bay.
Tom Loten top scored with 30 and Ben Martindale 29, before Liam Patterson-White finished unbeaten on 28 and Dane Schadendorf 10.
Rain shortly after the lunch interval put paid to hopes of a full day’s worth of cricket, with only 26 overs possible throughout the day.
The hosts started positively after SACA won the toss and elected to field, with Loten and Martindale sharing an opening stand worth 61.
The latter was trapped lbw before Loten was bowled, leaving Patterson-White, on his return from injury, and Schadendorf to see out what remaining play was possible.
