Notts Outlaws marked the beginning of the one-day cricket calendar with a comprehensive victory in Norwich.
With the visitors electing to bat first upon winning the toss, Matthew Montgomery’s 88 led a confident batting performance which also included a half-ton for Sammy King.
Ben Slater and Dane Schadendorf also came close to fifties, scoring 48 and 41 respectively, as the Outlaws posted 312 at the conclusion of their knock.
Calvin Harrison then claimed a four-fer in Norfolk’s innings, with wickets also shared between Montgomery, Fateh Singh, Tom Loten, Liam Patterson-White and skipper Haseeb Hameed as Norfolk were skittled for 127.
The 185-run win signals a positive start for the young Outlaws side without the help of key bowlers Dane Paterson and Brett Hutton, who were rested for this fixture.
Notts begin their Metro Bank One Day Cup campaign on Thursday 3 August away at Essex Eagles, before hosting Yorkshire on Saturday 5 August at Trent Bridge for a Family Fun Day.
