Dane Schadendorf hit fifty before claiming a catch as Derbyshire lost five wickets on day three of their Second XI Championship clash at Belper.
Schadendorf’s half-century, from 103 balls, helped to elevate Notts to a total of 323 – made over three rain-affected days of play.
There were contributions too for Freddie McCann (22), Sam Seecharan (39*) and James Hayes (25) before the visitors were dismissed in 97 overs.
Hayes then disturbed the off-stump of opener Nick Keast for 18, before luring Tyler McGladdery into edging behind.
Then came three wickets for right-arm quick Bailey Wightman as Derbyshire reached 114/5, trailing by 209, at stumps.
