Derbyshire all-rounder Anuj Dal will be the guest speaker at the next meeting of the Nottingham Cricket Lovers’ Society from 7pm on Thursday 2 February at Trent Bridge. 

Anuj, currently vice chair of the Professional Cricketers Association, grew up in Nottingham, attended Nottingham High School and developed his cricket in Nottinghamshire’s age group sides, Academy and Second XI. Having joined Derbyshire in 2018, he scored 957 runs at 73.61 and took 34 wickets at 29.88 in the 2022 edition of the County Championship.

In the first part of the meeting, Derbyshire’s Heritage Officer David Griffin will speak about the history and development of the County Ground, Derby and will highlight the ground’s previous role as Derby’s Racecourse and a home of Derby County FC.

The meeting will take place in the Derek Randall Suite at Trent Bridge.

Membership of the Society is £15 for the full season, or £5 for an individual meeting.

Trent Bridge will host three international matches in 2023, with the sole Test Match of the Women’s Ashes taking place at Nottinghamshire’s historic home, before England’s men face New Zealand and Ireland in IT20 and ODI contests respectively.
