Trent Rockets have confirmed the players re-signed to the men’s and women’s teams ahead of the third edition of The Hundred.
11 of the men's players who were part of the winning squad in 2022 remain, including ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Winners Dawid Malan and Alex Hales, and Afghanistan leg-spinner Rashid Khan.
Lewis Gregory, Luke Wood, Colin Munro, Sam Cook, Samit Patel, Daniel Sams and Matt Carter have also remained at Trent Bridge with Joe Root returning as Trent Rockets' England Men’s Centrally Contracted representative.
“I’m really glad we’ve been able to retain so many of last year's team,” said Gregory, who captained the triumphant Trent Rockets at Lord’s in August.
“We had a great competition and bringing the trophy home showed exactly what we’re capable of.
"We'll be looking to do the same again this year, putting on a show for the fans at Trent Bridge.”
Trent Rockets Women’s new Head Coach Jon Lewis has, meanwhile, retained the services of Nat Sciver-Brunt, Katherine Sciver-Brunt, Bryony Smith and Australia’s Alana King, with his team aiming to go better than their third-place finish last year.
“It’s great to be retained by Trent Rockets,” said Nat Sciver-Brunt.
“We came pretty close last time round and we want to build on that this year.
“The women’s competition having The Draft this year is really exciting, and I think we’ve got a good core of players to build on.
“It’s a really good competition to play in, with brilliant atmospheres and great cricket, and I’m looking forward to being back at Trent Bridge.”
Teams in the men’s competition were able to retain 10 players – in addition to those centrally contracted – with a squad of 13 set to be in place following The Draft powered by Sage.
Women’s teams could retain four ahead of hosting a draft for the first time, with a final list of players available for selection due to be confirmed on 28 February.
The Hundred will kick off its third year at Trent Bridge on Tuesday 1 August with a Trent Rockets vs Southern Brave double header, before three further matchdays in Nottingham during the competition.
There will be an initial, exclusive window to purchase tickets from 15-28 March for those who have previously bought tickets for The Hundred.
Those yet to attend can sign up in advance at thehundred.com for priority ticket access from 5–18 April.
Tickets, which start at £5 for juniors, will then go on general sale on Thursday 20 April.
