Ben Duckett and Haseeb Hameed continued their productive opening partnership before the bowlers gained the upper hand on day one of Notts' LV= Insurance County Championship clash with Somerset.
Both openers passed fifty before being dismissed, with Lewis Gregory's removal of Hameed proving to be the first of seven to fall to the all-rounder in a career-best showing.
After Notts were bowled out for 256, Brett Hutton made early inroads for the hosts to leave Somerset 28/2 at stumps.
