Yorkshire extended their lead to 461 with five wickets in hand at Headingley despite a third day pierced with dismissals from Nottinghamshire.
Olly Stone, Raheem Ahmed, James Hayes and Calvin Harrison all claimed a wicket each after the visitors had been bowled out for 331, including the prized scalp of Jonny Bairstow for the latter.
Ahmed was also in the action to run out George Hill for 88 with a direct hit from mid-on after the top order batter had tried to steal a quick single.
Harrison’s dismissal of Bairstow came after the batter had made 57, pinned lbw by a full delivery.
