Kevin Shine spoke of the value of Notts' spending time in the field and need for persistance at the close of day two against Loughborough, having bowled the spirited visitors out for 238 - 202 short of the hosts' first innings total.

It took the Green and Golds 84 overs to do so, with Luke Fletcher and Brett Hutton picking up three wickets each as the seam duo got their first run out of the season.

Lyndon James, Joey Evison, Zak Chappell and Ben Slater all picked up one wicket each, meanwhile, on a day which, according to Shine, aptly reflected the hard work required throughout the LV= Insurance County Championship season.
