Nottinghamshire's Director of Cricket Mick Newell is to be the guest speaker at the Nottingham Cricket Lovers' Society's next meeting, on Thursday 17 March in the Long Room at Trent Bridge.
Newell, who has been part of eleven first-team trophy wins in three decades with Notts as player and Director of Cricket, will discuss the key moments in the past ten years of his career, including a stint as an England selector.
The evening will begin at 7.30pm with the society's Annual General Meeting.
Meanwhile, an additional meeting has been added to the society's programme following the cancellation of the January event owing to Covid precautions.
Trent Bridge heritage volunteers Mike McNamara and Chris O'Brien will deliver talks on former club President Sir Julien Cahn and renowned cricket writer Sir Neville Cardus respectively, on Thursday 31 March.
Membership of the Cricket Lovers' Society costs £15 per year, and includes complimentary access to each of the society's monthly meetings across the winter.
Supporters are also welcome to pay £5 on the door to attend an individual meeting.
