Steven Mullaney described his doggedness with the bat as a crucial characteristic to rediscover as the County Championship season approaches.
Mullaney made 55 on his first and only pre-season outing on the Trent Bridge turf this summer, with his tenacity early in the innings rewarded with a healthy haul of runs as the afternoon wore on.
The captain also hailed Ben Duckett's form, and spoke of the impact time in the middle could have on Notts prospects James Hayes and Dane Schadendorf.
