Splendour Festival will turn a shade of yellow this summer with Trent Rockets’ players in attendance across the weekend of 23 and 24 July.
From watching Becky Hill, who performed at The Hundred’s opening game in 2021, to the chance to test cricketing skills under the watchful eye of men’s and women’s players from Trent Rockets, there’s plenty for all the family to enjoy.
Attendees will also get to see Nottingham singer/songwriter BEKA, who will be playing at Splendour and at Trent Bridge for the Trent Rockets double-header fixtures on 17 August.
Families will have the chance to test their cricket skills against the Trent Rockets players and get some top tips from professional coaches, who will be running a cricket activation area based near the Funfair, to the right of the Main Stage.
Trent Rockets’ Ella Claridge said: “I know how much everyone loves Splendour Festival and spending time with their friends and families there, and I can’t wait to get involved and hopefully get some music fans having a go at cricket.
“One of my favourite things about The Hundred last year was the live music. Hopefully we’ll meet loads of kids across over the weekend, introduce them to cricket and then see them down at Trent Bridge this summer too.”
Tom Kohler-Cadmore added: “Trent Rockets are all about that party atmosphere and we can’t wait to bring that to Splendour Festival before the competition begins next month.
“I’ve always loved my music so to get the opportunity to join up with one of the biggest events in the Nottingham music scene will be amazing. I'm hoping we might see some future Trent Rockets stars having a go at some cricket skills in our cricket zone as well.”
There’ll be chances for families to extend the party into the summer holidays with competitions running to win tickets to watch the Trent Rockets players in action at Trent Bridge in August. Splendour Festival attendees will also get the chance to walk away with a host of Trent Rockets merchandise.
The first year of The Hundred played out in front of packed houses up and down the country, with the second edition including even more world-class talent from across the globe.
With the squads now complete, 12 nations are represented across the eight teams as the tournament gets underway in less than a month’s time.
Tickets are now available for all fans via www.thehundred.com.
