John Pye Auctions have expanded their sponsorship portfolio at Trent Bridge ahead of the 2023 campaign, to include The Blaze as well as Nottinghamshire’s men’s and women’s teams.

The club’s leading commercial partner since 2014 will see their brand adorn the shirts of both county sides and the East Midlands’ new regional women’s team, having first sponsored the Green and Golds’ women in 2022.

Managing Director of John Pye Auctions, Adam Pye, said: “From the success of The Hundred, to hosting the Women’s Ashes next summer and now becoming home to The Blaze, we are proud to witness the role that Trent Bridge is playing in expanding the women’s game.

“One of the biggest motivations for our sponsorship is to give our full backing and support to teams that are representing their communities as they pursue glory on the field.

“Seeing those elite players perform whilst representing their clubs and communities is aspirational for young people in the local area and across the region. It’s hugely positive that cricket is now a sport, and Trent Bridge a venue, where women and girls can truly share in that aspiration.

“We wish Nottinghamshire’s women, The Blaze, Nottinghamshire and the Notts Outlaws every success during the forthcoming season and will be proud to see them each step onto the field with our brand emblazoned on their shirts in 2023.”

The Blaze will play 20 days of group-stage cricket in the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy (50 over) and Charlotte Edwards Cup (20 over), with double headers at Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Leicestershire over the course of the shorter format campaign.

Seven of the squad currently training at Trent Bridge with the new outfit have represented the Green and Golds in county cricket previously, with Sophie Munro, Teresa Graves and Lucy Higham part of the John Pye Auctions-sponsored Notts side who made it to T20 Finals Day last year.

“John Pye Auctions have supported us throughout our developments on and off the field over the last nine years, and we are grateful for their continued backing,” said Nottinghamshire Commercial Director, Michael Temple.

“They are proud to be associated with Trent Bridge, and invested in growing the game in Nottinghamshire and across the East Midlands.

“Continued sponsorship of Notts’ women, and now The Blaze, is an example of the tangible difference they seek to make. As an expanding brand with its roots within the county, they remain a perfect fit to be our principal partner into 2023.”
