Qundeel Haider batted for the best part of six hours for a scintillating 182 against Durham on day two of the Championship fixture at Lady Bay, as Nottinghamshire amassed a healthy 549/5 with one day remaining.
Notts’ first innings total, accumulated over 117 overs, gave them a lead of 219 after the visitors declared on 330 on day one.
Resuming 56/0, the diminutive right hander Haider batted through the majority of the day, striking 19 fours and 1 six from 262 balls faced.
His vigil was supported by half centuries from Lucas Stentiford (53), Ben Wilcox (73), Freddie McCann (77) and Travis Holland (57*), the latter of whom hit three fours and two sixes in 45 deliveries late in the day.
