John Pye Auctions have extended their sponsorship of Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club in support of the club’s women's team ahead of the 2022 campaign.
The team sponsor, who have been the leading commercial partner of the club since 2014, will see their branding adorn the shirts as Notts seek to defend the regional T20 title.
Managing Director of John Pye Auctions, Adam Pye, said: “We’re hugely proud of our partnership with Nottinghamshire, and we’re very much aware that the club is about so much more than simply men’s first team cricket and the international game.
“Women’s cricket is increasing in profile with each passing year. As more girls come into the game as a result, representing Nottinghamshire’s ladies will continue to be an aspiration, and that’s something we had no hesitation in stepping up our sponsorship to support.
“When Notts take the field in 2022, they’ll do so very much looking the part in jerseys emblazoned by the crest of the club, created by adidas and sponsored by John Pye Auctions.
“An exciting summer of cricket lies ahead and we can’t wait to follow the progress of the full spectrum of Nottinghamshire teams as they represent their county across the different formats and levels of the game.”
The Green and Golds’ women will play in their new John Pye branded kit for the first time against Leicestershire on 10 April, with three Vitality T20 Women's County group stage match days to follow through April and early May.
Five Outlaws players appeared in the inaugural edition of The Hundred in 2021, with places for the 2022 tournament up for grabs during the early season county games.
“Throughout their partnership with us, John Pye have always engaged keenly with all aspects of the club,” said Nottinghamshire Commercial Director, Michael Temple.
“They are proud to be associated with Nottinghamshire’s men’s team and with Trent Bridge, but they are equally interested in how their support is assisting with our work across the county to grow the game.
“Women and girls is a huge focus for cricket and sponsorship of our women’s team felt like a tangible way in which they could demonstrate that commitment to the wider game.
“As a leading traditional yet ever-expanding brand with its roots firmly in Nottinghamshire, John Pye remain the perfect fit as principal partner of our club.
“Their support continues to be hugely valued and appreciated as their sponsorship enters its eighth campaign.”
