Jack Blatherwick, the Nottinghamshire seam bowler, will depart Trent Bridge at the end of the season after the club elected not to renew his contract for the 2021 campaign.
The 22-year-old has made two First-Class and three List A appearances for the Green and Golds, taking three wickets.
“Going back to the end of 2018, we thought of Jack as a locally-produced fast bowler with the potential to go on and form a career as a Nottinghamshire cricketer,” said Director of Cricket Mick Newell.
“The last two seasons have been spent trying to achieve that, with the club investing fully in his development as we do with all of our young cricketers, and Jack giving his all to prove himself.
“That continued in Second XI cricket during the current season but, ultimately, it hasn’t worked out for him as we’d hoped.
“We thank Jack for his efforts and wish him all the best for the future.”
