Assistant Coach Ant Botha has challenged Ben Slater to kick on after a stellar red-ball season in 2020 culminated in the left-hander picking up the Championship Player Of The Year award.
The Chesterfield Churner amassed 425 runs in the Bob Willis Trophy, the fourth most in the tournament, including two centuries against Lancashire.
The 29-year-old also returned from a loan spell with Leicestershire to form a formidable opening partnership with Haseeb Hameed, a pairing that Botha is excited to see blossom in the coming seasons.
