Budding cricketers will have the chance to meet and challenge their Nottinghamshire heroes when the ICC Cricket World Cup fanzone arrives in Nottingham.

The ‘Meet the Outlaws’ sessions will form part of four days of 'City Celebrations' bringing the atmosphere of the competition into the city centre between Thursday 30th May and Sunday 2nd June.

Every Nottinghamshire first-team player will be on hand during the event to sign autographs and take part in activities, with signings taking place on Thursday 30th May at 1.30pm, Friday 31st May at 3.30pm and Saturday 1st June at 1.30pm.

Meanwhile, a big screen in the square will broadcast live action from the opening fixtures of the World Cup, including England’s tournament opener against South Africa and the clash between West Indies and Pakistan at Trent Bridge.

Other activities taking place against the iconic city backdrop will include All Stars Cricket coaching for children, street cricket, walking cricket and disabled cricket.

The events will form just one part of the celebrations across the county, with Cricket World Cup Family Days scheduled to take place from 7th-9th June at clubs across Nottinghamshire.

Trent Bridge is set to host five games in the competition, which is being held in England and Wales for the first time in 20 years.
