Nottinghamshire wicketkeeper Tom Moores has been singled out for praise on social media by none other than Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea.
A spectacular diving catch from the gloveman in the match against Yorkshire was tweeted by the official County Championship Twitter feed, who compared him to the Spanish international and tagged him in.
De Gea, who has more than 11 million followers worldwide, clearly approved of Moores’ athleticism and replied with four emoji claps.
Notts number 23 Moores, who scored 40 not out in the second innings of the game at Headingley, responded with: “Need to sort me out with a training session.”
He will be in the Green and Golds' squad to visit Worcestershire for the third match of the Club's Specsavers County Championship season, which starts on Friday.
