Joe Mennie believes all is still to play for in the clash between his Lancashire side and Nottinghamshire at Emirates Old Trafford.
All three results are possible, with better weather predicted on the fourth and final day and the hosts trailing their visitors by six runs and eight second wickets in hand.
Clumps of time lost to rain mean the weather may still yet have the final say, but the Australian fast bowler, who took 3-46 in Notts’ first innings of 222, said: “We turn up tomorrow and find out where we’re heading.
“The rain today has limited things for both teams. They bowled well yesterday morning and getting those wickets late on the first day dragged us back in.
“It’s always nice to get a few wickets, it always helps to ease things a bit. It would have been nice to wrap things up a little more quickly this morning, but that was not to be, they batted pretty well.
“You’re always nervous in a new competition against teams you don’t know as well. But I think I settled in pretty well and I’m happy.”
