The Nottinghamshire trio of Jake Ball, Stuart Broad and Alex Hales have once again been selected by England ahead of the Third Investec Test against Sri Lanka, which gets underway at Lord’s on Thursday 9 June.
Broad and Hales have each played starring roles in the host nation’s victories at Headingley and Durham, while Ball retains his place in the squad for a third successive fixture having missed out on the starting 11 in each of the previous matches.
Hales has contributed scores of 86 and 83 in the series so far with Broad, meanwhile, claiming ten dismissals including a four wicket haul in each Test.
