Nottinghamshire’s Brendan Taylor will join a host of English domestic players when the Bangladesh Premier League returns after a two-year break.
The Zimbabwean opener, who enjoyed a fine first season for Notts scoring over 1,000 first class runs, will represent Barisal Bulls throughout the competition, which will start on November 22.
With a host of international talent being signed in the draft, Taylor could form a formidable opening partnership with Chris Gayle who was also picked up by the Bulls.
Two games will be played each day; predominantly in Dhaka and Chittagong and the pair will be hoping to guide their team to the final third edition of the BPL, which will be held on December 15.
All-rounder Chris Jordan, currently touring the UAE with England, will join the Sylhet Super Stars at the end of the T20 series against Pakistan and he will play alongside further county players in Ravi Bopara and Josh Cobb.
Darren Sammy, who enjoyed a short T20 stint with the Outlaws in 2015, will play for Rangpur Riders whilst Darren Stevens (Comilla Victorians), Dawid Malan, Ryan ten Doeschate and Kumar Sangakkara (all Dhaka Dynamites) make up the regular county players picked up in the draft as Steven Mullaney missed out on selection.
Tamim Iqbal (Chittagong), Musfiqur Rahim (Sylhet), Mahmudullah (Barisal), Shakib Al Hasan (Rangpur), Nasir Hossain (Dhaka) and Mashrafe Mortaza (Comilla) were designated icon players for each side.
