Trent Bridge is seeking to recruit a team of volunteers to assist in the delivery of England’s cricketing clashes against Australia and New Zealand in Nottinghamshire this summer.
A key element of the success of Trent Bridge’s 2013 Investec Ashes Test, and the arrival of India to Nottingham in 2014, the Trent Bridge Volunteer Programme has evolved under the cricketeer banner which will see voluntary workforces drafted in to support nine venues this season.
The Volunteers will be on hand throughout the Investec Ashes Test Match against which runs from 6-10 August, and the Royal London One-Day International against New Zealand on Wednesday 17 June.
They will work in teams under the guidance of professional staff at Trent Bridge to inform and entertain those who have travelled from all corners of the globe to take in the two contests.
“This is an excellent opportunity to be involved with volunteering at an international cricket venue,” said Nottinghamshire's Head of Community Sport Tracey Francis.
“The programme has evolved over two years and has been hugely successful in ensuring that visitors to Trent Bridge are welcomed, informed and entertained.”
The programme will once again be delivered in partnership with Arch Communications, and Director Matt Youdale expressed his pleasure at being involved once more.
"It's with a great deal of pride that we're sponsoring the Trent Bridge Cricketeers for 2015," he said.
"It's a great scheme to be involved in, and it's exciting to be a part in a major international event on our doorstep in Nottingham."
Applicants must be over 18, and the closing date for prospective volunteers is Friday 24 April.
