Bilal Shafayat will keep wicket for the Nottinghamshire 2nd XI when Glamorgan visit for a three day Championship fixture at Lady Bay this week.
Ian Saxelby is ruled out after suffering a knee injury in the defeat to Yorkshire but should be back in contention next week.
Fast bowler Luke Fletcher is included, as are AJ Harris and Gareth Clough included, suggesting that Paul Franks could be in line for a first-team re-call.
Coach Wayne Noon hopes to see his side bounce back after last week’s defeat at Stamford Bridge.
“The lads know how I felt after the Yorkshire match and we have to use this game as an opportunity to show a massive improvement and for individuals to show that they can apply pressure for first team places,” said Noon.
“As tends to be the case with Second XI games, we know very little about the opposition but we have some exciting young talent in our side, like Luke Fletcher, Andy Carter and Alex Hales alongside some very experienced professionals.
“The sun has been shining all week, the outfield looks fantastic and we are expecting a very good wicket.”
Play begins at 11am Tuesday 13 May – Thursday 15 May. Admission is free for all supporters.
