Nottinghamshire have warned fans heading to tonight’s eagerly-awaited Twenty20 Cup clash with Yorkshire to get to Trent Bridge early with a bumper crowd expected.
The crowd figure is predicted to pass 10,000 for the game and with a weather forecast of sunshine for the rest of the day, there’s no question of the match being washed out.
As was the case with the Outlaws’ fixture against Derbyshire on Wednesday, the conditions are improving all the time and Steve Birks and his groundstaff have already removed all the surface water from the outfield.
Trent Bridge will open to the public at 3pm. Play is scheduled to start at 5.30pm, but a new ECB regulation brought in especially for the Twenty20 Cup means that an extra half-hour is available if required to complete the match.
